REcon Handmade porcelain cups
Beautiful handmade porcelain cup in whichever colour you select from the drop down list. These beautiful porcelain cups are perfect for hot or cold servings of anything you fancy.
I made the original moulds from discarded paper cups, recycled textured paper and ribbon and staples (well, the staples were new). I effected a brave rescue and transformed it into lovely reconstructed prototypes. There are numerous unique moulds in each size...you select the size and colour, a cup will be randomly selected for you.
Each beautiful glazed cup is slip cast from the mould with stained liquid porcelain (slip). It is then slowly dried and fired twice, including a glaze firing after I've applied glaze to the inside and outside of the cups (but not the bottom, otherwise they'd still be stuck to my kiln shelves!). I've carefully sanded the base at each stage, because I love the feeling of the smooth matte unglazed clay.
It is dishwasher and microwave safe. They can be used for hot and cold liquids. As all my objects are hand made, each piece has it's own unique character. These cups are not really suitable for stacking due to their beautiful texture; do so at your own risk. They are available in the complete MadHarriet range of colours which you can choose from the drop down list.
I am happy to make to order; please note that there may be up to 4 week production time, depending on my firing schedule and the size of the order.

As with all my beautiful objects, each cup is produced with minimal environmental impact incorporating recycling and electric firing. I also pack in cardboard and popcorn (domestically only) which is fully compostable and/or recycled bubble wrap wherever possible.
