Handmade cups in white porcelain each with a unique seam of colour inside and out.
Beautiful handmade porcelain cup in whichever design you select from the drop down list. These beautiful porcelain cups are perfect for hot or cold servings of anything you fancy.
I made the original mould from discarded clay scraps, and transformed it into a lovely, organic model.
Each beautiful glazed cup is slip cast from the mould with liquid porcelain (slip). Coloured liquid clay (slip) painted into the mould. White slip is then poured in and the seam is then continued inside to complete the cup. It is then slowly dried and fired twice, including a glaze firing once I've poured a glossy clear food safe glaze inside the cup. The outside remains unglazed. The clay is so pure and smooth, there's no need to glaze the outside, and the contrast is beautiful.
It is dishwasher and microwave safe. They can be used for hot and cold liquids. As all my objects are hand made, each piece has it's own unique character. These cups are suitable for stacking. I'll be listing coordinating bowls and platters shortly, so watch out for them! they are also available in a limited range of other colours.

As with all my beautiful objects, each cup is produced with minimal environmental impact incorporating recycling and electric firing. I also pack in cardboard and popcorn (domestically only) which is fully compostable and/or recycled bubble wrap wherever possible.
